This yearâs program brings together practitioners, consultants, and regulators to address some of the most pressing and practical issues facing the onsite wastewater sector today.Â
We’re pleased to highlight three of our featured speakers:
Liesbeth Glotze â ROWP
Liesbeth will present a practical comparison of Type 2 Advanced Treatment Units (ATUs) and Combined Treatment and Dispersal Systems (CTDS), reviewing site drivers, regulatory considerations, installation realities, and long-term O&M risks. Attendees will leave with a clear framework and checklist to support defensible, long-term system performance.
David Dobson â Alberta Municipal Affairs
With over 20 years of experience in the wastewater industry, David will host a Lunch & Learn with Alberta Municipal Affairs, sharing updates on relevant initiatives and available resources, followed by an interactive Q&A where attendees can engage directly with AMA representatives.
Barry Orr â Regulatory Inspector, Environmental Protection, Capital Regional District
Barryâs session will focus on the operational, financial, and environmental impacts of wipes and other products falsely labelled as âflushable.â He will explore the lack of a recognized Canadian standard and why a coordinated, national approach is needed to protect both municipal and onsite wastewater systems.
Together, these sessions offer a well-rounded mix of technical insight, regulatory context, and real-world application, designed to support informed decision-making and long-term system resilience.
