The AOWMA periodically requires new trainers for the Onsite Wastewater Practitioner Training Program and ancillary programs. Currently, there is a shortage of Practical Trainers and Examiners Any AOWMA member who meets the following requirements and wishes to become part of the training team is welcome to submit their resume and qualifications to the Trainer Selection Committee for consideration.
Practical Trainers
- Active installers who have a minimum of five years of experience in design and installation
- Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Have a positive reference from regulatory personnel in their business area that includes speaking ability and quality of documentation
- Should be able to present Compliant Permit Services Report to demonstrate experience in a variety of systems
- Should be able to provide two examples of their design documents that have been submitted for a permit and approved
- References should include any experience in teaching and/or public speaking and/or hold a certificate for teaching adult learners (Train the trainer)
Examiners
- Active installers who have a minimum of five years of experience in design and installation or equivalent
- Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Have a positive reference from regulatory personnel in their business area
