Distracted Driver Legislation

Contractors in the onsite industry consistently work out of their vehicles making and receiving business calls, taking notes, writing down information and generally multi-tasking while driving.  On September 1, 2011, the Alberta government enacted a Distracted Driver law that basically makes working while driving illegal.

Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers have distributed a newsletter that outlines the legislation and defines the risks associated with utilizing cell phones while driving.  Download the article for more information on this new legislation.
