The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant supports employers in training current or prospective employees to improve productivity and competitiveness.

Effective October 8th, the CAPG program has made the following changes:
– All trainees are now eligible for 75% of the total cost of eligible training.
– Employed family members are now eligible trainees. 
– Business owners are now eligible trainees.

Eligible employers include Alberta-based private businesses, non-profits, and Indigenous organizations.

Training must focus on technical, digital, or business-process skills, be delivered by a third-party provider, and be completed within 52 weeks.

Applications must be submitted before training begins.
